Stargardt disease is an inherited form of juvenile macular degeneration that causes progressive vision loss usually to the point of legal blindness. Several genes are associated with the disorder. Symptoms, mainly vision loss, typically develop before age 20, and also include wavy vision, blind spots, blurriness, impaired color vision, and difficulty adapting to dim lighting. The long-term prognosis for patients with Stargardt disease is widely variable although the majority of people will progress to legal blindness.

Currently, there is no treatment for this disease on the market. However, ophthalmologists recommend wearing sunglasses and hats outdoors and blue-light blocking glasses when exposed to artificial light sources, such as screens and lights.

We are pleased to announce that Stargardt disease can be effectively treated and reversed by our nano-grade emulsion. Lipofuscin accumulation is a major risk factor implicated in macular degeneration as well as Stargardt disease. Lipofuscin can be excreted from retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) to outer cornea within 2 hours after applying nano-grade emulsion. By applying nano-grade emulsion 8 times a day for 3 consecutive months, it is plausible that vision can be restored.

Please note that if you have poor eyesight (i.e. 20/150 or worse), your eyes will be painful, sore, or even swollen right after you apply nano-grade eye drops. Your eyes will also show redness, but it is not inflammation. These phenomena are perfectly normal because there is simply too much lipofuscin accumulated in retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Since the retina is part of the central nervous system, removing lipofuscin from RPE is a painful process. However, the pain is not caused by any organic chemical as nano-grade eye drops are made of a special kind of mineral water. In general, the pain will go away after one (1) week of treatment if you apply nano-grade eye drops 8 times a day.
